CulinaryRank — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the CulinaryRank mobile application ("App"), provided by Bolmer Ventures, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download or use the App.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

CulinaryRank offers a premium subscription tier ("Premium") that provides expanded access to features.

  • Pricing: $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Prices are subject to change with notice.
  • Free Trial: New users may receive a 3-day free trial. You must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged for the first billing cycle.
  • Payments: All transactions are processed through the Apple App Store. Subscription management and cancellations must be handled via your Apple ID settings.
  • Refunds: All sales are final. We do not process refunds directly; any refund requests must be directed to Apple Support.

3. User-Generated Content & Conduct

Users may post custom recipes, dishes, and ratings. You retain ownership of your content, but you grant Bolmer Ventures a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and display your content within the App.

Ranking Integrity: Our ranking system (ELO) and leaderboards are intended for fair competition. Any attempt to manipulate rankings through fraudulent ratings or "gaming" the system may result in immediate account termination.

4. Health and Safety Disclaimer

Cooking involves inherent risks, including heat, sharp objects, and foodborne illness. CulinaryRank provides recipes via third-party APIs (Spoonacular) "as is." Bolmer Ventures does not verify the accuracy or safety of these instructions. You are solely responsible for exercising caution, checking for allergens, and ensuring proper food handling.

5. Third-Party Integrations

The App integrates with Supabase, Adapty, and Spoonacular. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and conditions of these third-party providers where applicable.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bolmer Ventures and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—including but not limited to physical injury or property damage—arising from your use of the App or the recipes contained therein.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
